Chemical

The chemical laboratory mainly performs the following qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses:

  • Determination of the material composition of fibres, yarns, fabrics,
  • Determination of health safety (colour fastness in water, in abrasion, in sweat, pH of aqueous extract, content of free and hydrolysed formaldehyde).

It tests, among other things, for colour fastness in washing, in sea water, in dry cleaning and in resistance to the effects of sweat and saliva.
