Actibacterial

Our antibacterial knitted fabrics are made from materials that effectively eliminate the growth of microorganisms that cause infections and unpleasant odours. This effect is achieved by the use of silver-based antibacterial agents. After direct contact of the bacteria with the antibacterial agent, the cell membrane is broken and the synthesis of the cell wall is disrupted.

We offer two types of antibacterial knitwear:

• Permanently antibacterial knitted fabrics where silver ions are firmly embedded in fibres such as polyester or polypropylene.
• Surface-treated knitted fabrics where an antibacterial treatment is applied to the surface, while guaranteeing stability during washing (e.g. cotton, polyester).
