History of the Company

1992 SINTEX was founded in November 1992 as a limited liability company. The company’s initial sales and marketing strategy was based on the production of quality knitted fabrics and ready-made products with the aim of continuously innovating the existing technological
and product range.

1999 SINTEX was reconstructed as a joint stock company.

2000 Another important milestone in the development of SINTEX company. A new knitting plant for knitted fabrics and large-capacity raw material warehouses were built, allowing for more efficient production and storage. At the same time, the company’s technological equipment was significantly expanded through the acquisition of new high-capacity knitting machines and monitoring lines. Following a successful audit, the company obtained a quality certificate according to ČSN EN ISO 9001, which it has been renewing regularly since then, confirming its long-term orientation towards quality and production reliability.

2004 In this year, as a result of changes in the textile market, major innovative changes were initiated, which modified the commodity composition of textiles. Special functional fibres and yarns were added to the company’s product range. SINTEX became a certified partner of DuPont/Advansa/Invista/Lycra for the physiological and thermal insulation brands CoolMax®, Thermolite® and CoolMax All Season®.

2009 Another important period in the company’s history was the merger with its sister company Spolsin. This move expanded the product portfolio with new product groups such as specialty woven fabrics, warp knitted fabrics and filters. R&D facilities and technological capabilities were also significantly strengthened. An accredited textile materials testing laboratory became part of the company, which was authorised in accordance with ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025.

2013 SINTEX certification was extended to Öko-Tex Standard 100, which confirms the health and hygiene safety of the products.

2019 SINTEX successfully completed a strategic acquisition in Slovakia with the purchase of I.TRAN in Turzovka. This creates the first subsidiary of SINTEX SK.

2022 SINTEX establishes a second subsidiary, SLUNEO, to install solar panels

2024 SINTEX has also obtained Öko-Tex Standard 100 certification for recycled materials and clothing products, thus confirming the health and hygiene safety of its products.
